    Box Tops Container

    Hi Dedicated Teachers:)

I am a new teacher and I am motivated to help my school.  I want to put a box tops container in local stores and around in my community; however I do not have the time to make these containers.  I did see an already made container in a store created by box tops (I think).  Does anyone know how I can get my hands on these premade boxes to collect box tops?  Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated:)

    THANK YOU!

Yes, You can purchase them through Box tops.  However, I believe they are kinda of expensive!  The other way is to just start small at your school and creat One box of your own then as the school gains the money you can purchase the bigger one!  This is what I am doing for my school and I am brand new at this as well.  The whole point is to start small and then show the parents as they give more box tops to raise the money that they can purchase bigger stuff.  I hope this was some help

We purchased the big stand up when from what we collected last year, it is tall and we put it right when you come in the front door so you can not miss it i checked it today and it is almost already full. I guess the little one we had you could not see this one everyone sees it has paid for it self already.

    Hello

My son helped me decorate a shoe box. We used construction paper to cover up the shoe info, then used expired Box Top labels to further decorate it. I then put my name and phone # on the box and dropped it off in the school's office.

We've tried to set environmentally aware example by creating our collection boxes from recycled material. For large containers, I called a local restaurant and asked the owner to save the plastic jars they receive mayo, ketchup, salad dressing, etc. in. They were kind enough to clean the containers before passing on. For small containers, we use old baby wipe boxes, powdered drink mix containers, plastic ice cream buckets, butter, etc. Let the item soak for a while so the label easily comes off, dry and then use a permanent marker to write on BOX TOPS. We have a small container in every classroom and larger containers in the break rooms of local businesses, usinge the same containers year after year, until they fall apart. Then replacing a few each year is not much of a headache.

Another tip - don't think you have to do this alone! Ask some of your friends to spend an hour some morning in the school library getting them ready...ask your child's teacher or school art instructor if she could incorporate this into a project using the kids decorate peel & stick labels (relatively inexpensive, in the stationery aisle at most stores).

    Hi,

I do NOT recommend the medium container on sale thru BTFE. It is very flimsy!

you get about 10 or so for 12.75 i reinforced the bottoms and sides with packaging tape and just left the top free so when i return to pick up the box tops i can get in and out; i left mine at the church exits also

Hi, I am not seeing a section for a store.  Can you be more specific? Which of the tabs at the top is it under?

You have to have a coodinator login to buy through their store.  Once you log in, the last tab is for the coordinator store.

I went to BJ and purchased those big clear plastic container that either have pretzels in them or animal crackers.  Take a drill and cut a hole in the top of the container and decorate it with box tops pics.  We have had our for 4 yrs.
